Sweet & Fuzzy?

Well I know most of you who are nail polish fiends know about Sally Hansen new debut of 3D inspired textured nail polishes The Fuzzy Coat and The Sugar Coat lines.

I was surprised to walk into the Walgreens yesterday and see the display. Now honestly I'm surprised at the late delay of the sugar textured nail polish. The first I saw that had it was by Milani but they stated theirs was more of a sand type textured which wasn't too exciting to me. The colors were like dark neon that we're dying for a thirst of color. I see they quickly pulled that when it wasn't working. The next I saw was China Glaze, these were more candied inspired colors. I picked up one known as "In The Rough" made me think of diamonds and things of the kinky nature lol.

When I saw the Sally Hansen version, I felt like the debut was nice but....late. I lover the candied bright colors and th cute names but it just felt like another trend that seemed more of a fad that wouldn't (/won't) last. I don't know, I could be wrong. I would like to get three of the colors to do something fun for the 4th of July.

Anyway the fuzzy coat caught my eye and I immediately thought of all the nail flocking designs I had seen. I got interested and thought how this would be so much more easier and less messy than the flocking powder. So I snatched up Peach Fuzz. Plus excuse my dirty little mind for getting all giddy about it lol.

It doesn't look exactly like flocking but gives off a nice substitute type of idea. It reminds me honestly of fluttered polish just minus the shiny and more of the plastic party confetti.
Maybe I'll find a way to incorporate it into my next design.

Check the local drugstores or if you're close to a Walgreens these are definitely there. I bet Amazon or one of the nail polish stores would have them as well.
